El diseño lleva el nombre del general Henry "Hap" Arnold, quien comandó la AAF en la Segunda Guerra Mundial y encargó el emblema como insignia en el hombro. El diseñador James Rawls viste inspirado en la "V" del signo de la victoria de Winston Churchill.
El parche de Airplane Apparel Company se aplica con el calor de una plancha. No es necesario coser.
Parche bordado de 3 1/8" de diámetro con respaldo para planchar.

I'm 'old Air Force' - 1966-1986 so this emblem was an integral part of my AF experience. Your rendition of this insignia is par excellence! It looks great on the left shoulder of my sage-green MA-1 flight jacket! The accuracy and intensity of the colors is quite eye-catching😃

I love the patch. I'm old school. Got one for a friend. Using them to cover up the newer "bad origami" AF patch. Yes, we were USAAF. later to become the USAF. It became the honorable, distinguished "Hap Arnold" wings. Certainly better looking than the new patch. Significantly, it also had the red center in the star. I might have gone along with the new patch had they kept the red center. Salute! USAF, MSgt, Ret.

The patch was just as represented and just what I wanted. It was the exact patch my father wore on his uniform in a picture I have of him. He was a tailgunner on a B-17 in WW2. It also came quickly.
