Description
The T-6A Texan II is a single-engine, two-seat primary trainer designed to train students in the Joint Primary Pilot Training, or JPPT program. Students train in basic flying skills common to U.S. Air Force. The aircraft replaced the T-37 in the USAF flight training program. Pilots-student and instructor-are seated in tandem. The student can sit in the front or the back, depending on training requirements. Powered by Pratt & Whitney PT6A turboprop engine, the fully aerobatic aircraft is capable of speeds up to 320kts. Our detailed blue model represents the Air Force trainer. Interesting fact: The T-6A is a military version of the Beechcraft Pilatus PC-9 Mk II.
