Description

In 2006, Cessna entered the very light jet market with its new Citation Mustang. About 500 rolled off the Kansas assembly line between introduction and 2017, when the brand announced it would stop production of the model. Pilots and those in aviation media praised the Mustang as a comfortable and cost-effective jet alternative to buying a turboprop. The decision to end production on the critically acclaimed plane was purely a business one. There wasn't enough profit margin in the plane to continue production.
