Description
The easily recognized Boeing P-26A Peashooter was by far the coolest American fighter plane to never shoot down an enemy aircraft in service of the United States. It ruled the skies as the meanest, fastest aircraft during 1930s peacetime but was replaced by better and faster fighters when the country entered World War II.
Only two authentic, original Peashooters remain today, with just one in service. Several replicas also exist at various air museums.
